Christopher Davis’s new poems appear in American Poetry Review, Denver Quarterly, The Journal, and elsewhere.  actually, he�s 63.  he graduated from Bryn Mawr with John Updike.

TJ Desc loves a good road trip; has been to Launceston; has been to Luxembourg on a rainy day; has been swimming at the Sooke Potholes, very recently, very exotic let me assure you; has watched snow fall on gold aspens the first week of October, 8,500 feet up in the Rocky Mountains; has soaked sun in Pezenas, a small village in southern France where Moliere wrote his first play; has been naked under the heavy moon beside Lake Beaverfork.

John Mercuri Dooley lives in East Cambridge, Massachusetts.  he loves Joe Brainard and encourages you to seek out Brainard’s work and read his beautiful book, I Remember.

Katina Douveas can usually be found taking back bottles, as she is trying to scrape up enough security deposit dinero for her soon-to-be place in Brooklyn.  her best friend in the whole world is Martha Stewart.  currently, she and Martha are collaborating on a 2-part special where she teaches Martha how to roll a �j� while Martha bakes �brownies�.

Joshua Edwards was born on the island of Galveston; later, he met a young woman with chestnut-colored hair; a few months ago his friend Mike paid for him to get a tattoo of a naked woman on his forearm; now, he is in Nicaragua.  he is also publisher and executive editor of The Canary River Review, and would love it if you ordered a copy, for poetry�s sake.

kari edwards is a poet and artist born 523 years after Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake.  winner of New Langton Arts’ Bay Area Award in Literature (2002), author of a day in the life of p. Antonio Facchino lives in California, wherefrom he writes, teaches, and shoots video.  this is in or around San Francisco, but he’s open to relocating if it means more fun.  other poems of his can be found in Chicago Review and The San Jose Manual of Style.

Olive Filbert’s full name is Olive Ann Filbert.  she is an 8th grade student at Lansing Middle School, and one of three children.  her two strongest attributes in education are Literature and Language Arts.  she loves to learn new things that will help her write poetry.

David Goldstein was recently in Amsterdam for the first time, but did not stay in a hostel.  his poetry has appeared in Eos: Transactions of the American Geophysical Union and elsewhere.

David Hadbawnik is a poet and longtime student of Diane di Prima, with work published in Skanky Possum, Paterson Literary Review, and the Boog City baseball issue, among others.  he is exceedingly happy that the Detroit Red Wings won the Stanley Cup.

Daniel Y. Harris co-directs the online gallery MesArt.com, is a member of the Board of Directors of Artship Foundation, holds a Masters of Divinity in Jewish Studies from The University of Chicago and is working on a manuscript of poetry entitled The Arrival.  he includes The Denver Quarterly, Panoply and PoetryMagazine.com among his publication credits.  he makes his living driving a taxi at night in San Francisco.

what is there to know about Halvard Johnson?  he was born in Newburgh, New York in 1936, the son of a Methodist minister and a Methodist minister’s wife.  he lost his childhood in New York City and small towns and cities of the Hudson Valley such as Carmel, Middletown, Kingston, and, yes, Yonkers.

Amy King cuts her own hair.  she loves people and will cut their hair.  look for her new chapbook The People Instruments (Pavement Saw Press), and her ebook, The Serial Detective and Other Notations, soon.

Michael Magee owns one photo of K. Silem Mohammad (spycam shots excluded, of course).  his books are Morning Constitutional (Handwritten Press, 2001) and MS (forthcoming from Spuyten Duyvil this winter, just in time to qualify for the Oscars).  he edits Combo.

rob mclennan lives in Ottawa, where he does clever things and not so clever things.  a prolific poet, editor, and small press publisher, his 7th poetry collection, paper hotel, is due out any day (or so).  check out his website.

Sheila E. Murphy will be a featured presenter at the Avant Symposium sponsored by the Ohio State University in late July, 2002.  her most recent full-length books are The Stuttering of Wings (Stride Press, 2002) and Heresiarch (Xtant/Anabasis, 2002).  she is a painter as well as a poet.

Karen Neuberg works as a researcher in a consulting firm in New York during the week.  on weekends, she and her husband travel to their small house in the Catskill Mountains and spend time writing, painting, and havin� fun.  her recent publications include poems in Barrow Street, Northeast Corridor, Lynx Eye, Illya�s Honey, and Blue Fifth Review.

Soraya Shalforoosh has an MFA from The New School.  her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Skanky Possum, can we have our ball back?, Salonika, Crux, Good Foot, and Brink: an Anthology of Post Modern American Poetry.  she is a Taurus with moon in cancer; she believes this makes her a good cook, but very emotional and moody.

Sandra Simonds grew up in Los Angeles and currently lives in Missoula, Montana.  her poems have appeared in Borderlands:Texas Poetry Review, H2So4 and can we have our ball back?.  she loves to swim in the Frenchtown Pond and has 19 houseplants.

Heather Sweeney lives, writes, and teaches in Tempe, Arizona where she likes to whoop it up.  she�s had other work in Caliban and Outlet.

Eileen Tabios thinks the greatest hidden secret in contemporary poetry is a poet masquerading as an art critic whose initials are B.S. (no pun intended).  she just released her latest book, Reproductions of the Empty Flagpole (Marsh Hawk Press).
