Six Poems

yellow

zwei gleich große hälften
die kerne, der saft, die noppen
tentakel von inne, die halten
das alles zusammen, die innen-
haut der innenhaut, elastomere
durchtrennt, ich ging durch die
schale, passionsfurcht einflößen
ein maler stand pate, and you really
wanted to ask, what i was afraid of?

yellow

two halves of equal size
the core, the juice, the knobbly peel
tentacles from within that hold
everything together, the inner
skin within skin, elastomers
divided, i penetrated the
skin, passion-fear flowing
it’s all because of a painter, and you really
wanted to ask, what i was afraid of?

orange

was das für ein boden sei
linoleum, auf dem der nasse
hund, nur an nassen tagen
nur als abdruck, nur als
fell, dem stiefel, meinem
hosenbein noch vorm
verdunsten in der u.bahn
laviert die treue hält
wo doch das aquarell
nicht trocknen soll
an diesen klammen
tagen vor dem frühling
der sich bei tier nicht
zeigen will

orange

what a flooring,
that linoleum on which the wet
dog is best friend to the boot and pant leg
before it dries out in the u bahn
only on wet days
only as a print, only as fur,
where the watercolour itself
does not dry
on these clammy
days before a springtime
that hides itself
from animals

chartreuse

glaub das doch bitte nicht
was man sagt, was man sieht
die abgewedelten deprivationen
der aufgehellte fleck, und frag
nicht nach fahnen, am malen
ist doch was dran, man kann
auch taschenschirme klonen
und behaupten sie seien geklaut
bis davon was sichtbar wird
bleibt regen regen, »es läuft
es rollt die leere fassade«
hat es je jemanden interessiert
was man dahinter wie destilliert

chartreuse

please don’t believe
what is said, what is seen
the avoided deprivations
of the faded stain, and don’t ask
about flags, there is something
to this painting thing, you can
also clone pocket umbrellas
and claim you stole them
until all that remains visible
is rain rain, »it runs
it rolls, the empty façade«
did anyone ever wonder
what was distilled there, and how

glacier

hartschaum, zerkaute
icegumfelder, bricolage
in curacao, der umge-
kippte saft, das wilde
gefrieren passiert pro-
blemlos die blut-hirn-
schranke, eros und
schmelze, squeeze
serotonin, klebt wie
hulle, i mean, warum
ziehst du nicht einfach
leine, empty a bottle
and feel a bit freeze
gefäßverengender
wird es nicht mehr

glacier

rigid foam, chewed-up
fields of ice gum, bricolage
in curacao, the spilled
juice, crazily congealed,
glides effortlessly
through the blood-brain-
barrier, eros and
melting, squeeze
serotonin, sticks like
hell, i mean, why
do you not simply pull
a cord, empty a bottle
and feel a bit freeze

it won’t make the veins
any narrower

manatee

schauprozess gleiten
für die nächsten ver-
wandten einen salat-
kopf spalten, verdammt
aggressive zeiten am
beckenboden der aufge-
räumtheiten, das nennt
sich paarungsverhalten
vielleicht geht’s auch so
lächerlich schüchtern
glasgrüne dickfelligkeiten
keine news zu frisurenbuch
ich will hier ja kein gefarb
verbreiten, kolossgrau ist
ganz anschmiegsam, aber
klar, die locke darfst du behalten

manatee

show trial sliding
split a head of lettuce
for the next of kin
damned aggressive days
on the pelvic floor
of cheerfulness
that’s what they call
mating rituals
maybe it even works
amusingly shy
bottle-green thick-skinned-ness
no news about book of hairstyles
no, i don’t want any coloration,
behemoth-grey is
so cute, but
of course, you may keep the curl

rhinestone

one of these greys
komm, »gehen wir
ein paar schritte«
»hast du gesehen
wie gut der mann
aussieht«, kennst
du mein post-drug-
disease? es ist als
ob du wellenkundig
sinkst, lage und ein-
zugsgebiet ziehen
spurlos an dir vorbei
nicht mehr in der klemme
im sinken so gut wie un-
gebunden, ohne geschiebe
und provinz, remember
your shelter came from a shower
ich meine, belassen wir es dabei

rhinestone

one of these greys
come, »let’s
take a few steps«
»have you seen
how good the man
looks«, do you
recognize my post-drug
disease
? it is as
if you sink wave-like,
your location and sphere of
influence roll past
without a trace
no longer in trouble
by sinking basically un-
bound, without moraine
and province, remember
your shelter came from a shower

i mean, let us leave it at that
